How to Get Strength Fast in Lift a Cube
Every cube gate in Lift a Cube is a strength check, so getting strong fast is really about one number: strength per second while you train. Five levers move it.

The strength-per-second formula
strength/sec ≈ (base strength per push-up × material multiplier × bubble boost) ÷ push-up time in seconds.
You raise it by cutting push-up time (arms + push-up time upgrades), raising the multiplier (better material rolls), catching bubbles while training, or any combination. There is no rebirth system — progress is permanent and linear.
Lever 1 — Push-up time, always first
Push-up time upgrades are the cheapest permanent gain in every zone. Cutting a rep from 1.0s to 0.85s is a 17% training speedup for pocket change; no early roll competes with that per Cash.
Lever 2 — Arms
Arm purchases cut push-up time in bigger steps than the small upgrades. Alternate: when the next arm costs more than two push-up time upgrades, buy the push-up times first and come back.
Lever 3 — Material multipliers
A ≈1.5× Common (Sand) roughly halves your time to any strength gate. Epic and Legendary rolls at mid-map chests go much further — this is why walking to the next chest beats re-rolling the cheap one.
Lever 4 — Luck upgrades
Luck (≈8×, 10×, 20× tiers observed) shifts roll odds toward higher rarities. Buy luck when a chest's rolls feel stale and its price is below the next arm — it improves every future roll, not just the next one.
Lever 5 — Train where the bubbles spawn
Boost bubbles (x3 and up) spawn near training stations. Reps done on a bubble are worth multiples, so standing in the spawn area beats standing at the edge. Idle players lose this entire lever.
Put it into practice
- 🧮 Estimate your grind with the strength calculator — time-to-lift for any cube.
- 🏆 Check the tier list before your next Cash purchase.
- 🎟️ Keep the codes tracker handy — free rewards land there first.
- 🧊 Compare gates on the cube ladder before you commit to a zone.
